Position Description:

This Vice President, Investment Management will be responsible for working with investors after the initial outreach by helping to guide and close them for new institutional funds and separately managed accounts.  This person will also handle client management and investor relations for existing fund vehicles. The person will be supported by a robust financial services and asset management teams.

 ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and coordinates the creation of fundraising materials:
    • Private Placement Memorandum (PPM) and supplements
    • Form Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ)
    • Investor Presentation
    • Model
    • Other Data Room content
  • Leads existing and prospective investors through fundraising closing process:
    • Investor questions and follow up
    • Property and market tours
    • Legal docs
  • Leads coordination with external fundraising parties (i.e. placement agent)
  • Oversee quarterly reports with Asset Management and Financial Services team
  • Proactive investor communication
    • Deal Summaries / Capital Calls
    • Periodic Updates (annual visits / meetings)
  • Coordinates the Annual Institutional Investor Meeting
  • Represents the Firm at Industry conferences and events (PREA)
  • General investor prospecting

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES:

  • Thorough and complete familiarity with institutional capital raising process and its various participants
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management / task prioritization capabilities
  • Precise attention to detail that is thoughtfully applied to content and deliverables
  • Attentive business judgement to review materials and communicate in balanced and compelling way
  • Interpersonal savvy and ability to interact with clients at a senior level
  • Leader who can guide teams and develop associates

 EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field and at least 10 years relevant real estate experience
  • Strong working knowledge of multi-family investment experience
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite to include Excel
