Position Description:

Responsible for providing strategic leadership alongside the CEO.  Establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies while providing day to day leadership and motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management of Company’s vision and mission statement along with their core values. Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass all corporate goals and objectives
  • To achieve corporate goals, an initial heavy emphasis will be put on land acquisitions. As such, identify and qualify potential land acquisitions and manage the due diligence process on land acquisition opportunities, working closely with the CEO.
  • Oversee departments throughout homebuilding operations (Land, Sales and Marketing, Construction, Purchasing, Warranty, etc.)
  • Identify and negotiate purchase of land for new communities. Establish strategic partnerships with Brokers and Landowners/Sellers
  • Lead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes
  • Drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
  • Work with CEO & CFO on financial planning, budgeting and goals
  • Support talent acquisition, employee development, and retention
  • Represent the Company with clients, financial institutions and business partners
  • Maintain professional affiliations and stay up to date on industry trends
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the CEO

 Competencies

  • Must have a proven track record in senior management roles working for custom and/or production homebuilders
  • Must be able to demonstrate success across functions including Land, Sales & Marketing, Finance & Construction
  • Must be a proven organizational leader with strong business acumen, decision making and problem-solving expertise
  • Familiarity with governmental regulations and compliance requirements. Maintain positive reputation within the community and engage with government officials when necessary
  • Strong financial analysis, planning, and supervisory skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
